Phoenix, Arizona—A two-vehicle crash in South Phoenix left one person dead and two others hospitalized Friday afternoon.
According to accident investigators, Phyllis Kimmel, age 68, was westbound on Baseline Road when she turned south onto 43rd Avenue and collided with a vehicle that was eastbound on Baseline. She died at the scene.
The condition of a teenage passenger in her car who was hospitalized is not known. The driver of the other car was hospitalized for treatment of serious injuries. No additional information regarding the victims’ identities or current medical conditions was released as the accident investigation continues.
